凋亡PCR芯片可用于研究参与细胞程序性死亡的84个关键基因的表达。细胞凋亡在正常生物过程中发挥重要作用,如分化、发育和体内平衡。应激反应,如热休克、缺血、非折叠蛋白和病毒感染,会引起细胞严重受损甚至细胞凋亡。细胞凋亡经常导致不可控的细胞生长,如肿瘤形成和癌症;同时肿瘤坏死因子(TNF)受体也会通过激活FADD和其他死亡受体蛋白引起凋亡。这一芯片包含了TNF配体及受体、bcl-2、半胱天冬酶、IAP、TRAF、CARD、死亡域、死亡效应域、CIDE家族,以及参与p53和DNA损伤通路的基因。研究这些基因的表达有助于确定在生物模型和细胞模型中的细胞机制。通过实时定量PCR的方法,研究者即能够利用该芯片简单可靠地同时检测细胞凋亡相关基因的表达。
